Understanding

makes decisions simple

(1) My approach

Over the past eight years, building brands, products, and services, I've learnt that good design doesn't begin with assumptions. It begins with understanding people, business goals, and the realities that shape every experience.

That's why I design beyond screens, from strategy and discovery to launch and impact. My goal is to make decisions ridiculously simple by asking the right questions, understanding the problem, and designing the right solution.

Asking better question

Whether I'm designing a product, service, or brand system, I start by understanding the people behind the problem. Across startups, enterprise products, and emergency response systems, I've found that meaningful solutions begin with asking the right questions.

That led me to create a simple six-question framework, W.W.W.H.C.S., to define the right problem, align business goals with human needs, and design solutions that create meaningful impact and make decisions simpler.

(2) W.W.W.H.C.S — 6 QUESTIONS

1

Who are we desiging for

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

2

What problem are we solving

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

Defining the problem by understanding its context, root cause, and desired outcome helps focus effort on the challenge that truly matters

3

Why does it matter

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

Understanding why the problem matters connects user needs with business goals, ensuring the solution creates meaningful and measurable value

4

How should we solve it

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

Exploring practical solutions balances user experience, business objectives, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability

5

Constraints

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

Every decision exists within business objectives, technology, operations, budgets, and time. Good design embraces those realities.

6

Success—what is it

Understanding the people, their goals, motivations, needs, and behaviors ensures every decision is grounded in real human experiences

The answer changes every project. The important thing is defining success before designing for it
